Rounds 1 and 2 of the 31st Annual Court Heinbuch Classic have been completed. The ‘game of the day’ saw Hamilton Sir Allan MacNab defeat Kitchener Cameron Heights 72-66 in overtime. Toronto Oakwood is still in play to win the Heinbuch for a sixth time. Joining Oakwood in the Gold Division will be Waterloo Sir John A. Macdonald, Kitchener St. Mary’s and Hamilton Sir Allan MacNab. Can a local team win the Heinbuch for the first time? The Silver Division sees Kitchener Eastwood, Windsor W. F. Herman, Ajax J. Clarke Richardson and Kitchener Cameron Heights. The Bronze Division has Welland Notre Dame, Kitchener Grand River, Hamilton St. Thomas More and Ottawa St. Patrick’s. Competing in the Consolation Division will be Brantford North Park, Ottawa Lisgar, Burlington Nelson and Waterloo. Play continues Saturday at Waterloo Collegiate and Sir John A. Macdonald S.S. in Waterloo.
