The Oakwood Barons will be back trying to defend its championship and win its eighth Heinbuch title. They will be joined by fifteen teams from around the province. The Heinbuch Classic committee welcomes Peterborough Adam Scott CVI Lions and Brampton St. Roch CSS Ravens who will each be making its first appearance in the Classic bringing to 109 the total number of schools who have participated over the tournament’s 33 years. All games will be held at Conestoga College Athletic & Recreation Centre which is located close to Highway 401 (exit 275). Sixteen games will be played on Friday, November 25 beginning at 8:45am and continuing all day. Play will continue on Saturday again beginning at 8:45 am with the Gold Division Championship game at 8:15pm.
There will be an admission charge of $5 for adults and $2 for high school students beginning with the four Division Championship games which start at 3:30pm on Saturday. All proceeds will go to the Heinbuch Classic Bursary program which sponsors deserving Grade 9 students to attend a Summer basketball camp..
There will be a parking fee on Friday from 8:00am to 4:00 pm. Follow the signs to Lot 11. Parking Friday after 4:00pm and all day Saturday is free.
