SATURDAY, DAY 2

It ONLY took 33 years but a local team has finally won the Heinbuch Classic. Cambridge St. Benedict Saints had a great day on the hardwood first defeating Sarnia Northern 53-39 in the semi finals and then winning 48-34 over an excellent and well-coached Stoney Creek Cardinal Newman squad in the championship final. Cardinal Newman defeated defending champion Toronto Oakwood in the semis. Congratulations to Coach Malnerich, his staff and student-athletes on this fine accomplishment. Kudos also to Coach Raso and his players for a fine tournament.

Hamilton Sir Allan MacNab defeated Ajax J. Clarke Richardson 58-44 in the Silver Division final.

Collingwood bested Hamilton St. Thomas More 64-52 in winning the Bronze Division championship.

The Consolation Division championship went to Brantford North Park with a 63-48 victory over Waterloo Sir John A. Macdonald.
